Overview: When you can see things others can't, where do you look for the truth?
This paranormal murder mystery will have teens reading on the edge of their seats.

Clarity "Clare" Fern sees things. Things no one else can see. Things like stolen kisses and long-buried secrets. All she has to do is touch a certain object, and the visions come to her. It's a gift.

And a curse.

When a teenage girl is found murdered, Clare's ex-boyfriend wants her to help solve the case--but Clare is still furious at the cheating jerk. Then Clare's brother--who has supernatural gifts of his own--becomes the prime suspect, and Clare can no longer look away. Teaming up with Gabriel, the smoldering son of the new detective, Clare must venture into the depths of fear, revenge, and lust in order to track the killer. But will her sight fail her just when she needs it most?
Review: Ahhh. My thoughts on Clarity you ask? Awesome! I was addicted to a book for 3 days straight. OK. Moving on... The book portrays a girl, Clarity who has psychic powers. She can see the past of an object. Most people pretty much give her this face.

But many people actually believe in her, like her family and her ex-boyfriend. Her ex (the mayor's son) who cheated on her with her rivalry, Tiffany. Justin (ex) wants her to participate in finding the criminal of a tourist's murder. I'm stopping there. Can't give the whole story away! Soo.. Clarity accepts and finds the most shocking clues but seems to be proven wrong throughout the whole story. So, I have to give this book a 5 out of 5. Recommendations? Young Adults. Murder lover. Hold on.. Murder BOOK lovers.

Murder is such a dirty word…New York Times bestselling adult true crime author Gregg Olsen makes his YA debut with Empty Coffin, a gripping new fiction series for teens based on ripped-from-the-headlines stories…with a paranormal touch.

Crime lives--and dies--in the deceptively picture-perfect town of Port Gamble (aka “Empty Coffin”), Washington. Evil lurks and strange things happen--and 15-year-olds Hayley and Taylor Ryan secretly use their wits and their telepathic “twin-sense” to uncover the truth about the town's victims and culprits.

Envy, the series debut, involves the mysterious death of the twins' old friend, Katelyn. Was it murder? Suicide? An accident? Hayley and Taylor are determined to find out--and as they investigate, they stumble upon a dark truth that is far more disturbing than they ever could have imagined.

Based on the shocking true crime about cyber-bullying, Envy will take you to the edge--and push you right over.

Teaser Tuesday #3 is from Awkward by Marini Bates.

There is nothing surprising about my life. Seriously. The list of things I haven’t done far exceeds the coming-of-age things I have experienced. I've never been bad. No tagging graffiti on my high school walls, no toilet-papering my neighbor’s house, no long make-out sessions with a boyfriend until the car windows become foggy. I practically come with a PG-13 rating stamped on my forehead. The one remarkable thing about my past sixteen years of life is the complete lack of things to remark upon. Probably because I’ve made invisible an art form. I can hide in plain sight just by being too boring to notice. It helps that everything about me is average: from my murky blue eyes and chestnut auburn hair to my pale, gangly body.

Ok, so this book is not the regular genre I read. I'm mostly glued to YA and Kids-Chapter Books. But this book was out of the ballpark I might actually be reading more adult books!
Binding Arbitration

Goodreads|Barnes & Noble|Amazon
Author: Elizabeth Marx
Release Date: June 17th 2012
Pages: 484
Source: GoodReads.com
Overview: Through the corridors of the Windy City’s criminal courts, single mother Libby Tucker knows exactly how far she’ll go to save her cancer-stricken son’s life. The undefeated defense attorney is prepared to take her fight all the way to the majors.

Circumstances force Libby to plead her case at the cleats of celebrity baseball player Banford Aidan Palowski, the man who discarded her at their college graduation. Libby has worked her backside bare for everything she’s attained, while Aidan has been indulged since he slid through the birth canal and landed in a pile of Gold Coast money. But helping Libby and living up to his biological duty could jeopardize the only thing the jock worships: his baseball career.

If baseball imitates life, Aidan admits his appears to be silver-plated peanuts, until an unexpected confrontation with the most spectacular prize that’s ever poured from a caramel corn box blindsides him. When he learns about his son’s desperate need, it pricks open the wound he’s carried since he abandoned Libby and the child.

All Libby wants is a little anonymous DNA, but Aidan has a magical umpire in his head who knows Libby’s a fateball right to the heart. When a six-year-old sage and a hippy priestess step onto the field, there’s more to settle between Libby and Aidan than heartache, redemption, and forgiveness.

Review: Ahhh, Binding Arbitration, it was UNBELIEVABLY..... GOOD! I loved It! To be honest it started it off slow. Too slow, I was almost at the stage of putting down the book. Then the next chapter reeled me in big time. So at the boiling point of the book, I wanted to enter the book and kill Aidan! He was this conceited jerk that acts like he has so much authority! He left his pregnant wife to go start some stupid baseball career! It turned out his son had cancer, leukemia to be exact. Libby, the "baby-momma" is with Cass, the son working hard every day. She needs Aidan's help to use his bone-marrow to support Cass. Of course she hated him, but she loves Cass more than anything! So they meet up, which turns out to be a disaster. No more on this subject or I'll be tempted to give a spoiler!

Anyways, honestly I'm going to give this book a ..... 4 out of 5. Only because it started a bit slow. Over all though, it was

C'mon guys I don't have to say it you know what this face means!

I'd recommend this to adults!! Definitely, this book is    NOT for children.

Waiting On Wednesday #2 is about a book that I'm dying to get. Hopefully, soon you'll see it under the finished Memes Label! Below is the cover and the Overview. Enjoy!

Heather Wells Rocks!

Or, at least, she did. That was before she left the pop-idol life behind after she gained a dress size or two — and lost a boyfriend, a recording contract, and her life savings (when Mom took the money and ran off to Argentina). Now that the glamour and glory days of endless mall appearances are in the past, Heather's perfectly happy with her new size 12 shape (the average for the American woman!) and her new job as an assistant dorm director at one of New York's top colleges. That is, until the dead body of a female student from Heather's residence hall is discovered at the bottom of an elevator shaft.

The cops and the college president are ready to chalk the death off as an accident, the result of reckless youthful mischief. But Heather knowsteenage girls . . . and girls do not elevator surf. Yet no one wants to listen — not the police, her colleagues, or the P.I. who owns the brownstone where she lives — even when more students start turning up dead in equally ordinary and subtly sinister ways. So Heather makes the decision to take on yet another new career: as spunky girl detective!

But her new job comes with few benefits, no cheering crowds, and lots of liabilities, some of them potentially fatal. And nothing ticks off a killer more than a portly ex-pop star who's sticking her nose where it doesn't belong . . .

The Boyfriend GameGoodreads|Barnes & Noble|Amazon
Author: Stephie Davis
Release Date: March 3rd 2009
Pages: 176
Source: GoodReads.com
Overview: I rested the ball on my hip and walked back toward the equipment shed. In the dark.
Alone. With a boy.
I would be completely freaking out over varsity soccer tryouts if it weren't for the new student, Graham, who's helping me practice. He has the most amazing green eyes, curly brown hair, and perfect legs. Plus, we have lots in common, since all we both care about is soccer Well, that's all he cares about. But my heart beats so fast when we're on the field together . . . and I don't think it's just from all the running around.

Review: The Boyfriend Game was very good, but there were some things I didn't like about it!It started off very slow in my opinion and the ending wasn't awesome.
The main character, Trisha portrays a soccer obsessed high school girl. Her friend, Sara, a true friend turns Trisha's life upside down when two certain stupid boys return into Trisha's life. Trisha had a true figure which Sara would trade for her soccer skills.
When Trisha meets this sensitive hard muscled guy, her mouth because a faucet of drool. Not only did she have the honor to meet him, but he offered to practice soccer with her.  When Trisha spots him hanging out with a popular slut of a girl, she may find herself being a tiny bit jealous. If tiny means this.....

Soo this book was ehh.. But if you like definetely go ahead and read it. Although, I don't recommend or urge you to read it.

1. When the author takes up 70 pages talking about one topic or the main character.
2. CLIFFHANGERS!
3. When the author gives more facts then detail.
4. More spice than sugar (vice-versa).
5. When the ending is STUPID! (the bad guy wins, the main character dies. Or it says read the next book to find out.)
6.The intro or beginning of the book starts of slow.

Waiting On Wednesday is a meme where I list a book that I would kill to read. I will put the cover and the overview.

Overview:
In a single moment, everything changes. Seventeen-year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall riding along the snow-wet Oregon road with her family. Then, in a blink, she finds herself watching as her own damaged body is taken from the wreck...

A sophisticated, layered, and heart-achingly beautiful story about the power of family and friends, the choices we all make, and the ultimate choice Mia commands.

Teaser:

“You like him because he’s so rich.”
“Very funny. I could easily say the same thing about you and your boyfriend, you know.”
“I love Chase because he’s the nicest guy in the world,” she said, more seriously.
“Yes, well , as much as I like Derek, I can’t—” I stopped abruptly. “Wait a second—you just said that you love Chase!”
“I know.” She hid her face in her hands. “It slipped out.”
“Do you think you do?”
“I’ve never liked any guy this much before,” she said, peeking
 out "That's all I know

This picture reminds me of
The Giver because in the book
Jonas grew up in a perfect
world which reminds me of
the dark place in the picture.
It's the dark place because the
perfect world held them back from
making their own decisions
and expressing love and other
emotions to one another. Also
in the book Jonas decides to
leave and go to Elsewhere(Earth).
The light reminds me of Earth because
once he leaves he is able to make his
own decisions, find his own love,
and show his own true emotion.

Monday Musings is a meme where I put up a picture that reminds me of a book I recently read and reviewed. Today is my first Monday Musing, and I am reminded of the giver when I look at the picture to the right.

That is our MONDAY MUSING for today! Until next time................

Release Date: January 24th 2006

Overview: Jonas's world is perfect. Everything is under control. There is no war or fear or pain. There are no choices. Every person is assigned a role in the Community. When Jonas turns twelve, he is singled out to receive special training from The Giver. The Giver alone holds the memories of the true pain and pleasure of life. Now, it is time for Jonas to receive the truth. There is no turning back.

Review: The Giver is a great book. It reminds me of the City of Ember that i recently reviewed. Jonas was a normal child in a perfect world. No accidents, no profanity, NOTHING!!. When he is a 12 and gets assigned to be a receiver (which requires the ability to see beyond or aka. having pale eyes), he is exposed to the dirt of the world. The receiver given instructions, and knowing that he may lie, be rude; also knowing he would experience physical, emotional, and mental pain, he is both scared and excited. One of the instructions that the reciever most obey, is he must remain isolated.
After many years of training, Jonas has both joyful and painful memories. When The Giver and the receiver come up with a plan for Jonas to leave and go Elswhere(Earth) and the Giver stays in a no longer perfect world the only question is Will Jonas survive?
